Meet Our Quilter - Karyn Furch
Karyn has been sewing for over 40 years and quilting for over 25 years.
She has been quilting with a long arm machine since 2003 and has completed over 900 quilts on her machine, a Gammill 12 foot Optimum Plus with stitch regulator.
Karyn has completed several courses in Long Arm Machine Quilting. She has taken a class from Nichole Webb, nationally known long arm machine quilter, on advanced techniques in freehand or free motion quilting. She has completed an advanced long arm quilting course taught at the Gammill Quilting Machine Company in West Plains, MO, makers of our long arm quilting machine.
Karyn has attended the International Machine Quilters Association Convention in Kansas City, MO and taken several classes. Karyn has taught Long Arm Machine Quilting classes at a local fabric store.
Karyn attended the 2009 Machine Quilting Expo in Manchester, NH and took a class from Karen McTavish. Karyn is now a certified "McTavishing" instructor. She also took a class from Cathy Franks in advanced custom quilting techniques.
